For Health, Bees and Farmers

NGOs unite to demand stronger pesticide rules in Europe

Across Europe, civil society organisations are joining forces to respond to EU proposals that could weaken pesticide safeguards and put health, biodiversity and food systems at risk.

The campaign “For Health, Bees and Farmers” brings together a broad coalition of NGOs to ensure that citizens’ voices are heard at this critical moment. The form alongside this page is part of a shared European action tool, allowing you to directly support the coalition’s demands and send a clear message to decision-makers.

By signing, you join thousands of people across Europe calling for stronger protections, safer farming practices and a future that works for both people and nature.

PESTICIDES IMPACT

Why this matters?

Pesticides are not just an agricultural issue, they affect ecosystems, resources and human health.

They contaminate:

  • 🐝 Pollinators: Essential for food production

  • 💧 Water: Including drinking water

  • 🌱 Soils & ecosystems: Supporting biodiversity

  • 👶 Human health: Especially children and vulnerable groups

PESTICIDES & PUBLIC HEALTH

What’s at risk?

In December 2025, the European Commission introduced a Food and Feed Safety Omnibus proposal that could weaken existing pesticide safeguards.

The proposal may:

  • Allow harmful substances to remain longer on the market

  • Limit action based on the latest scientific evidence

When a pesticide is finally banned, it is often after decades of use and damage… At a time when pollinators are in decline, this is simply unacceptable.

IMPACTS

What this means?

Weakening these rules would extend the use of harmful substances, delay action based on scientific evidence, and reduce protections for biodiversity and public health. This would represent a significant step backwards at a time when ecosystems and pollinators are already under pressure.
